ALBUQUERQUE CHAPTER, DEPARTMENT OF NEW MEXICO
​The American Legion Post 13 Honor Guard 3rd Annual Award Ceremony was held in Albuquerque on September 9th.  NM GSMs Shirley Tetreault & Kay Coleman were honored to present 6 recipients with the 75 Honor Guard functions plaques.

EASTERN MICHIGAN CHAPTER, DEPARTMENT OF MICHIGAN
The Eastern Michigan Chapter got its charter May 2024.  We’ve been hard at work learning how to run the chapter and service our veterans as well as each other. Over the course of the summer, we have been able to attend multiple golf outings work with our fellow Blue Star Mothers, March in memorial parade, host a Gold Star Mother’s weekend, clean ups at National Cemetery, Camp Grayling Boots on the Ground,  prepare meals for veterans, serve at veterans shelter, food drive for VFW, attend parents retreat in Texas, support Gold Star Wives at vigil, attend meet, greet and support dinners at Mission BBQ, attend dinners honoring Gold Star Mothers, etc.  It’s been a busy start to our chapter.​

HAMPTON ROADS CHAPTER, DEPARTMENT OF VIRGINIA
The Hampton Roads Chapter, Department of Virginia, made a spaghetti dinner for the veterans of VFW Post 4809, Norfolk VA, and assisted with the 9/11 Heroes Run in Virginia Beach by giving out refreshments to runners.​

SYRACUSE #15 CHAPTER, DEPARTMENT OF NEW YORK
Syracuse chapter 15, President Lorie Schneider and Department of NY President Tammy Bell. Presented much needed sweatshirts and sweatpants to the Veterans Center of Syracuse NY.
